Appointments
Making an appointment at Rocky Mountain Oncology Center, Casper and Riverton office, is considered a priority with our front desk staff, nurses, and physicians. All referrals from primary care practitioners, physician specialists and self-referrals are given immediate priority and are scheduled personally by one of our nurse case managers. The anxiety and stress that are associated with an initial diagnosis is well understood and our experienced staff will strive to keep delays for appointments at a minimum. We also welcome the opportunity to provide second opinions. Our exceptional physicians and staff will do their very best to help you and your family through these difficult times.
We accept most insurance carriers, commercial, Medicare and Medicaid. A nurse case manager will be given your name and information pertaining to your diagnosis and will make immediate contact with you before your appointment. This call is to ensure that all questions are reviewed and addressed to your satisfaction. We not only want to help ensure that you will have the coverage you need but to try and help eliminate the worry, so you can concentrate on treatment and recovery.
For your first appointment we ask that you provide:
- Your insurance cards.
- Let us know whenever you change your address, telephone number, employment, marital status or insurance.
- Bring a list of all medications that you are currently taking (including over-the-counter medications, vitamins and herbal supplements.)
- Write down any questions or concerns that you may have to discuss with your physician.
- If you wish, bring someone with you to help listen to your physician’s comments and responses to your questions.
- Your next appointment will be made every time you visit the clinic. This includes lab, medication and radiology appointments.
We understand that emergencies can occur and special needs may be present, and we will do our very best to accommodate your specific needs. We request that should you need to cancel an appointment that you provide as much notice as possible in order for us to enable another patient to see the doctor.
